In February 2023, the State Council Information Office held a press conference.   Li Xingqian, director of the Department of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, said that in 2022, China's foreign trade had three wonderful performances, that is, it stood at a new height, released new momentum and made new contributions.   What is the "new dynamic energy"?   Li Xingqian said that last year, the "new three" represented by electricity, light and lithium, that is, the export of electric vehicles, photovoltaic products, lithium batteries, China's high-tech, high value-added, leading the green transformation of products to become a new growth point for exports.   2022, the export of electric vehicles grew by 131.8%, photovoltaic products grew by 67.8%, lithium batteries grew by 86.8%.   67.8%, and lithium batteries grew by 86.7%.

One out of every 10 new energy vehicles in Europe comes from China. In 2022, China's auto export industry takes off. CCA statistics show that China's auto exports reached 3.111 million units in 2022, up 54.4% year-on-year, already surpassing Germany and ranking second in the world, just behind Japan.

The main driver of China's auto export growth is new energy vehicles. 2022, new energy vehicle exports totaled 679,000 units, up 1.2 times year-on-year, a growth rate that exceeded the overall growth rate of auto exports. In the annual exports of cars, new energy accounted for 21.83%.

Electric vehicle exports continue to grow to reflect the optimization and upgrading of China's foreign trade. It is understood that in the first half of 2022, global sales of new energy vehicles exceeded 4.22 million units, an increase of 66.3% year-on-year, of which China's new energy vehicle sales accounted for more than 60% of the world, an increase of 115%.  China Association of Automobile Manufacturers recently disclosed that from January to October this year, China exported 499,000 new energy vehicles, an increase of 96.7% year-on-year.  China's new energy vehicle production and sales have ranked first in the world for many years in a row, entering a period of full market expansion.  Since this year, China's major ports have witnessed the acceleration of China's electric vehicles and related industrial chain "going to sea".
